Set up Copiqo and complete your first copy or autofill workflow in minutes.
Goal
This guide will walk you through installing Copiqo, creating your first workspace, entering mock data, and executing your very first automated form autofill in the browser.
Step-by-Step Setup
Install the Extension
Download Copiqo from the Chrome Web Store. Once installation is complete, click the Extensions puzzle icon in the top-right of your browser and click the Pin button next to Copiqo to make it always visible on your toolbar.
The Copiqo icon (emerald-colored letter C) appears in your browser toolbar.
Open the Workspace Interface
Click the Copiqo icon on your toolbar to open the quick Popup, or right-click anywhere on a web page and select "Open Copiqo Side Panel" to open the Side Panel. The Side Panel stays open even when clicking outside, which is ideal for multitasking.
Create Your First Workspace
Click the + Create Workspace button at the top. Enter a name for your workspace (e.g., My Project - STAGING) and specify the domain rule (e.g., staging.myproject.com).
The new workspace appears in the workspace selector and is automatically set as active.
Add a Group and Record
Click Add Group to create a data category (e.g., QA Credentials). Inside that group, click Add Record to create a dataset, such as Admin User.
Define Data Fields
Inside the Admin User record, add the fields you want to autofill:
- A field named email with value admin@myproject.com
- A field named password with value Secr3tP@ssword
Test Copy & Autofill
Go to your project's login page in the browser. Open Copiqo:
- Click the Copy icon next to the email field to copy its value to the clipboard.
- Or, click the Autofill Record button to let Copiqo automatically match and fill all fields in under a second.
The login form inputs are populated with the exact email and password values defined in your Copiqo record.
Common Issues
Workspace Not Activating Automatically? Double-check your Workspace domain rules. The Domain Rule must match or be a substring of the URL in your browser's address bar.
Autofill Failing on Some Forms? Some websites use custom-styled inputs, shadow DOMs, or security scripts that block programmatic input. In these cases, you can use the Fast Copy icons to copy and paste values manually.
